Here are some examples of different-sized accounts and what I recommend. Now, of course, you can modify it in any way to fit your personal style (since we are all different and have different risk tolerances).
Whatever you do, do not try to guess which swings will move up first. Properly size and enter positions slowly. Always accumulate slowly. Never go "all in" on one or two positions.
Day Trading
$500 = Daytrades ( Scale 2x $250 each )
1k = Daytrades ( Scale 2x with $250 increments ) ( with 2 stocks )
10k = Swing Trades ( Scale 2x with $650 (1 $700) increments ) ( with 5 stocks )
25k = Swing Trades ( Scale 3x with $1000 increments ) ( with 7 stocks )
50k = Swing Trades ( Scale 2x with $1500 (1 $1000) increments ) ( with 9 stocks )
100k = Swing Trades ( Scale 2x with $2500 (1 $3000) increments ) ( with 10 stocks )
These can all be slightly adjusted based on your goals and risk tolerance

It's best to accumulate these increments for every 7-12% dip until you reach your full position.
Part of this method for these swing trades includes "pyramiding." This is basically slowly accumulating a position until a position is full. Now that there are no commission fees, there is no excuse for anyone not being able to do this. Even a smaller size account can carry 4-5 swing trades.
